On the morning of November 7, 2019, the "China's Sea Bass Capital" award ceremony and the establishment conference of Guangdong Sea Bass Association, organized by the Doumen Ecological Agriculture Park Management Committee and Zhuhai Modern Agriculture Development Center, and hosted by Guangdong Sea Bass Association, was grandly held at Zhuhai Resort Hotel. The event, with the theme "Developing the Sea Bass Industry to Support the Bay Area Economy," was extensively covered by Phoenix Network through live broadcasting.

Long-term Planning and Focus on Development

Since the 1980s, with the strong attention and support from the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, Zhuhai has vigorously developed the sea bass industry, creating the most distinctive aquatic advantage brand jointly built by the city, districts, towns, associations, fish farmers, and enterprises. 

Sea bass has become the "wealth fish" for rural revitalization in Zhuhai. After a rigorous evaluation, the national honor of "China's Sea Bass Capital" was finally awarded to Zhuhai in August this year.

Full Development of the "White Banana Sea Bass" Brand

In 2009, the trademark of "White Banana Sea Bass" was registered, making it the first national geographical indication protected product in Zhuhai. In 2011, Baijiao Town was awarded the title of "China's Sea Bass Village." In 2017, 

"White Banana Sea Bass" was recognized as one of China's Top 100 Regional Public Brands for Agricultural Products. In 2018, "White Banana Sea Bass" was selected as one of the 100 agricultural product brands for the first "Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival."

  After the award ceremony, 17 companies including Zhuhai Chenghuifeng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Qiangjing Agriculture Co., Ltd., and Zhuhai Zhishan Aquatic Development Co., Ltd. conducted on-site sea bass industry chain order signing ceremonies with purchasers. Chenghuifeng successfully signed contracts with partners from Hebei, Hubei, and Jiangxi, with a total contract value of 200 million yuan.

Establishment Conference of Guangdong Sea Bass Association

Guangdong Sea Bass Association is a provincial-level social organization established with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, in response to the development of green aquaculture industry and the new situation and requirements of sea bass in our province. Following the first General Assembly and the selection of members of the Council and Supervisory Committee, the association was officially established on November 7th. Chenghuifeng, as the vice-president unit of the association, received the certificate on that day.
