To ensure the safety of fresh meat, a special campaign on meat food safety was conducted jointly by the Farm Hygiene Department, Disease Control Center, Livestock Department, Industry and Commerce Bureau, Urban Management Bureau, Publicity Department, and Television Station at the market on the morning of December 19th.

During the inspection, each department visited all the fresh meat stalls in the market, inquiring whether they had been inspected and quarantined by the animal health inspection department, and checked whether the fresh meat had the official seal indicating that it had passed the animal product inspection. Additionally, the staff members of each department explained in detail to the fresh meat vendors and market-goers the hazards of substandard fresh meat, particularly the increased risk of contracting brucellosis, and how to purchase fresh meat that has been inspected and certified.

During this inspection, more than 50 copies of brochures on brucellosis prevention and control were distributed, raising public awareness of meat food safety and further regulating the order of the fresh meat market at our farm.
