In February 2020, the Global Aquaculture Alliance announced that Chenghuifeng had successfully passed the BAP(Best Aquaculture Practices) audit, and became the first aquaculture processing enterprise in Zhuhai to obtain the BAP certification. It indicates that the quality and safety management level of Chenghuifeng has reached the highest international standard, and the product quality is the  globally leading.

I. Certification background: What is BAP?

BAP (Best Aquaculture Practices) certification is the only third-party certification project in the world that covers the entire aquaculture production chain, with a focus on global testing of production standards for aquatic products from the farm to the processing plant, hatchery and feed mill.

At present, BAP has become a trusted and widely adopted third-party authoritative aquatic certification in the international market, serving as a high-level standard for aquatic food safety, sustainable development, social responsibility, animal husbandry operations, and product traceability throughout the entire process.

BAP is also the only international certification for aquatic products recognized by three major international authoritative systems: GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), GSSI (Global Sustainable Fisheries Initiative), and GSCP (Global Social Responsibility Compliance Project).

2.Applying for BAP certification is not that simple:

Since July 2019, Chenghuifeng has first started the BAP certification application project plan, followed by sorting out the corresponding audit specifications according to the relevant certification standards and forming a corporate BAP working group to conduct preliminary audits of factories. After a rigorous and detailed initial audit phase, in October 2019, Chenghuifeng formally submitted its BAP application and was fully audited by the official certification body in December, eventually receiving BAP certification in February 2020!

The BAP certification audit is strict and demanding, and any substandard aspects of the production environment，employee safety assurance, product quality and raw material procurement will not pass the audit. This is due to the company's efficient implementation team, strict quality control and standardized management.
