Recently, the Global Aquaculture Alliance announced that Cheng Hui Feng has successfully passed the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification audit and has become the first seafood processing company in Zhuhai City to receive BAP certification. This marks Cheng Hui Feng's quality and safety management level reaching the highest international standards and its product quality leading globally!




1. Certification Background: What is BAP?

BAP (Best Aquaculture Practices) certification is the only third-party certification program that covers the entire aquaculture production chain worldwide. It primarily examines the production standards of seafood products from farms to processing plants, hatcheries, and feed mills in a global context.

Currently, BAP has become a trusted third-party authority certification widely accepted in international markets and sets high standards for seafood product safety, sustainable development, social responsibility, animal feeding practices, and full traceability throughout the entire production process.

BAP is also the only aquaculture international certification recognized by three major international authoritative systems: GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), GSSI (Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative), and GSCP (Global Social Compliance Program).


2. Applying for BAP certification is not so simple:

Since July 2019, Cheng Hui Feng has initiated the BAP certification application project, developed corresponding audit specifications based on relevant certification standards, and formed an enterprise BAP working group to conduct preliminary audits of the factory. After a rigorous and detailed initial review stage, Cheng Hui Feng officially submitted the BAP application in October 2019 and underwent a comprehensive audit by the official certification body in December. Finally, in February 2020, Cheng Hui Feng obtained BAP certification.

BAP certification audits are strict and demanding. If any aspect, such as the production environment, employee safety, product quality, or raw material procurement, does not meet the standards, the certification cannot be achieved.
